Tonya Weakley, owner of Peddlers Den, is a well known scenic stamper and instructor. This year she decided that there was a shortage of scenic stamps, and the Makin’ A Scene collection was born. Formerly a co-owner of an art gallery and a children’s drawing instructor, Tonya had a clear vision as to what she hoped to create. It was her goal to create images that were new and fresh, but would interface well with images from the other popular scenic stamping companies represented by Peddlers Den. By doing so, she hoped to expand the genre.
The Makin’ A Scene collection has been very well received. Tonya, and Peddlers Den, have no plans to stop. In August they launched a Fall and Holiday supplement, and they are currently working on a Spring release. But they are more than just stamps. They are developing an ink line designed for scenic stampers. Stay tuned for the debut of the Makin’ A Scene ink collection!
