I started scenic stamping back in the 1990’s, using only the tonal applicator to do all of my coloring. Clearsnap has not yet invented the foam blending tip, and most other similar tools and techniques did not give me the control I desired. The beauty of this technique is that by layering and glazing lots of colors (8 plus black were used on this scene), you achieve deep, rich, dramatic color. Back to the beginning was created as a reward to myself for having completed several tasks designed to stretch my artistic scope. Having completed those tasks, I rewarded myself with a fast, fun, relaxing card….and the 5″x7″ Back to the Beginning was born 20 min. later. It is embellished with liberal amounts of crystal Art Institute glitter.
