Chicken Coop, Half Monitor Style, Sm T15-316 D

$6.50

This Chicken Coop is the historic half monitor style. Created by University of Illinois Extension in the 1920s or 30s, it is an engineering masterpiece. The windows face the south, so that the sun can warm the house during the day. The steeply pitched northern roof causes the north winds to easily blow over the building, and there are no windows on the north side. Driving through the countryside of Illinois, one can still see some of these chicken coops, usually falling into disrepair or being used for storage.  Unfortunately, they are disappearing at alarmingly rapid rates. Now you can preserve them forever in your artwork!

Description
